Netflix teams up with Baahubali franchise, grabs streaming rights for Rs25.5 crore

Hyderabad, Aug 10: After shattering all the box office records worldwide, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali franchise is all set to enthrall the global audience of 192 countries as Streaming platform Netflix has grabbed the rights of Baahubali series for Rs25.5 crore. 
 
As reported by The Mint, confirming about the development producer of Baahubali series and co-founder and CEO of Arka Mediaworks Shobu Yarlagadda said, “We are very happy and excited to partner with Netflix. Theatrically, it is not possible to reach all markets, but with this deal, Baahubali will reach 192 countries seamlessly,”

 

The American entertainment company, who is making inroads in the country was ranked No. 9 among video-streaming apps in terms of monthly active users in the first half of this year. According to the official website of Netflix, the streaming service allows user to watch a wide variety of award-winning TV shows, movies, documentaries and more on thousands of Internet-connected devices.
