Chennai, August 11: Do you have innovative solutions? You can share your inputs in ‘Swachhathon 1.0’ which was organised in Mumbai collaborating with the Ministry of Water Supply and Sanitation and government of India.Earlier ‘Swachhathon 1.0’ was launched in Chennai on Thursday with an aim to share innovative concepts and ideas to accomplish the dream of #SwachchBharat. ‘Swachhathon 1.0’ was launched first in Tamil Nadu which witnessed 100 innovators, heads of technical colleges and schools.
Sudheendhra Kulkarni, Head of the Observer Research Foundation said that No other leader made sanitation, an integral part of the freedom movement as Mahatma Gandhi did.
Swachhathon 1.0 – Swachhata Hackathon is an attempt to crowd source solutions for some of the pressing problems faced by the country in Sanitation and Hygiene. MoDWS invites students from schools and colleges, professionals, organizations, startups and others to come up with exciting, innovative, novel and viable solutions in the categories mentioned below –

b) Triggering behaviour change
c) Toilet Technologies in Difficult terrains
d) Working solutions for maintenance and operations of school toilets.
e) Technological solutions for safe disposal of menstrual waste
f) Solution for early decomposition of faecal matter
