India bags seven medals including 6 gold, 1 bronze in ongoing LA World Police & Fire Games-2017

Los Angeles, August 12: Personnel of Indian armed forces not only protect sovereignty but also represents the country in the International sports arena. It is a proud moment for the whole country as the ace swimmer SM Richa Mishra, Wrestler Dinesh Kumar and Praveen bagged seven medals at World Police and Fire games 2017 which is being held in Los Angeles.


Notably, ace swimmer SM Richa Mishra of CRPF on Saturday bagged five medals including four gold and a bronze in different categories of individual swimming contest. However, this is the first time when any of the Indian armed personnel has won five medals in the world championships.

On the other side, ITBP personnel Dinesh Kumar clinched a gold medal in 75 Kg category in the ongoing LA World Police & Fire Games-2017. However, another ITBP personnel Praveen grabbed the gold medal in 80 Kg category.

Constable Bhupendra Vyas, who hails from Rajasthan is also competing in World Police and Fire games in the weightlifting category. Interestingly, 70 nations are participating at World Police and Fire games 2017 which will conclude on 16th of August.
