JD (U) suspends 21 rebel party members including former Minister over anti-party activities

Patna, August 14: Nitish Kumar already indicated that JD (U) won’t compromise on party unity. After JD (U) left the grand alliance, many party leaders were opposing party’s decision. A top level leader Sharad Yadav was also removed from party’s Rajyasabha seat. Making the step stronger, JD (U) has suspended 21 party members from their primary memberships for anti-party activities.

The party received complaints and reports against those suspended party leaders for emerging with anti-party activities. State president Vashistha Narayan Singh suspended the members after reports. The suspended team includes former minister Ramai Ram, former MP Arjun Rai and former MLA Rajkishor Sinha. The suspended leaders are presumed to be in Sharad Yadav ally.

After Nitish Kumar reunited with BJP, Sharad Yadav started the rebel movement. He told Nitish may alliance but he is still with RJD. He told Nitish and the ally is not the whole JD(U) but the “Sarkari” JD(U).Sharad Yadav also took a 3-day trip in Bihar, constantly talking against NDA. As an aftermath of long series of events, Sharad Yadav was replaced as party leader in the Rajya Sabha with Ram Chandra Prasad Singh.
