Baahubali stars Rana Daggubati and Tamannah Bhatia attends 37th edition of India Day Parade

New York, Aug 21: Overwhelmed by the response of enthusiastic Indian diaspora Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati said that members of Indian community are the ambassadors of our country who are making us proud outside of India.Rana, who was the Grand Marshal for the 37th edition of prestigious India Day Parade specially mentioned that it was a matter of great pride for him to celebrate the Independence Day with a large population of Indian-Americans. On this occasion actress Tamannah Bhatia, also witnessed the gala event. Sharing her experience, the beautiful diva said, “It is amazing to see Indians celebrating the country’s culture and heritage.”


The 37th India Day Parade was organized by the Federation of Indian Associations – New York, to celebrate India’s 71st Independence. As reported by Indian Express, thousands of members from Indian community joined the grand occasion in the heart of New York in their traditional attire. The procession went through several streets on Madison Avenue in Manhattan.

As reported by, The Federation of Indian is one of the largest organization of the Indian community. It represents over 500,000 strong and vibrant Indians and various issues that concern the community at the local, state and national levels. The Annual India Day Parade is held since 1981 in New York City to present the community’s progress and unity to the many diversified ethnic communities in the area.

Earlier, stars like Abhishek Bachchan and Vikram graced the Independence day event Rana is the first Telugu hero to grace the event as the special guest. He was seen sporting the traditional attire of his character Jogendra in ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri’.
