Bhopal, August 21: In a bid to assist youth to fulfil their dreams, BJP National President Amit Shah launches ‘Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojana’ at Lal Parade ground in Bhopal on Sunday. Students of state board who pass out with 75 percent and CBSE students who secure 85 percent are eligible for this ambitious scheme.
He has called upon the youths to be committed towards serving the poor as they have got a platform for development by the government. Modi has assisted youths in realising their dreams with the belief that their development is the state and country’s progress.
“Programmes like Digital India, Mudra Bank, Startup and Skill India have made the youths ‘job creators from job seekers’. His government has been doing the work of changing the pace of development in the last three years. The paralytic Indian economy of yesterday is today a respectable position and the world’s fastest developing economy.”
However, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the resolve to give wings to talents is being fulfilled today. He said that despite children having the talent, capacity and qualification, they were unable to acquire higher education due to their poor financial condition.
“The children can now reap benefits from the scheme and bring laurels to their family, state and country. The Chief Minister said that the Student Welfare Fund will be constituted to provide assistance to the financially weak students.”
Singh further said that the students who have got a job after taking the benefit of Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana will help in this fund. Similarly, students who have got admission in Medical College, will complete their education and will provide their services rural areas for three years.
32,185 students have got admission in educational institutions of the country and the State. More than 250 meritorious students have got benefit of the scheme by taking admissions in the prestigious institute like IIT, Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur, Indore, Banaras Hindu Vishwavidyalaya, Varanasi, Delhi University, 18 IITs, 14 NIITs, 10 National Law Institute and 14 other prestigious institutions.
This scheme is for meritorious students of Madhya Pradesh domicile, whose parents annual income it up to Rs 6 lakh. They scored 75 per cent marks or above in 12th examination of MP Board of Secondary Education or 85 percent marks or above in CBSC or ICSE.
The scheme has been implemented for the meritorious students getting admission into all engineering, medical, dental, Ayurvedic, law and all other undergraduate courses, who have taken admission in higher institutions of Madhya Pradesh and Government of India.
