BJP Karnataka slams Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for political vendetta

Bengaluru, Aug 22: Accusing state government of misusing investigative agencies against opposition leaders, Karnataka BJP said that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah manipulating the Anti-Corruption Department to target its leaders for settling political scores.

 

A BJP delegation called on Governor Vajubhai Vala and conveyed their reservation about the vindictive policies of Congress government under the patronage of Siddaramaiah. The delegation also urged Vala to order a high-level inquiry into the issue. The saffron party also demanded the immediate suspension of Director General of Police (ACB) M N Reddi along with the sacking of adviser of Home Minister Kempaiah from his post.

 

Commenting on the recent graft allegations on B S Yeddyurappa, BJP officials stated that ACB has filed cases against BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, based on a complaint filed by a ‘dubious’ RTI activist with an intention to harass him. The party alleged that a section of ACB officials are deliberately working on the plot to implicate Yeddyurappa.

As reported by Deccan Herald, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ananth Kumar who was the part of the delegation said, “The entire state is shocked by the way the government is misusing the ACB to fix Yeddyurappa. We have drawn the Governor’s attention in this regard and urged him to take action against the government,”
