Mumbai, August 22: Mumbai gets first electric vehicle charging station, That’s Wow! While achieving the clean energy movement in terms of power generation this initiative will help to attain by providing the electric charging stations. Tata Power installed the country’s first such charging station at Tata Power Receiving Station at Mumbai.
The Indian government has asked the auto industry leaders to help set up the infrastructure to make the country ready for electric cars. As a part of its clean energy movement, the government wants EVs to become more commonplace in the country by 2030. Tata Power has taken this initiative of providing charging stations along with Mass – Tech Controls.
Commenting on the new charging station, Anil Sardana, CEO and MD, Tata Power, said, “The launch of electrical vehicle charging stations as Tata Power is to set a high standard in adopting sustainable practices by using innovative technology, providing customers access to energy-efficient processes. We are moving towards clean power for all and it is our endeavour to provide best of the solutions for our country to achieve a greener tomorrow.”
The first station is located in Mumbai’s Vikhroli suburb. It will help EV owners charge their cars with utmost safety and convenience. They can even monitor the charging status and units of energy consumed while their vehicles are being charged. Tata Power has plans to start more EV charging stations in Mumbai.
