PM Modi reaches Bihar to review flood situation in the state

Purina, August 26: This year monsoon is not going well for Bihar as the flood situation has pushed so many people in misery. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Bihar to review the situation in the state. Prime Minister will undertake an aerial survey of the severely affected districts. According to schedule, he arrived at Purnea air force base.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi received PM. After the aerial survey, PM will hold meetings with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other officials in Purnea. Based on all the talks, surveys the state government will seek central assistance.
The flood situation has worsened over time leaving more than 400 dead and affecting hundreds of thousands in 19 districts. To help the flood victims Bihar state government announced to provide a month's free ration and other necessary material. Army teams SDRF and NDRF are helping with high effort in the rescue operations.
