Indian Army tri-services band show their excellence in Moscow’s International Military Music Festival

Moscow, August 28: International “Spasskaya Tower” music festival which is called as International Military Music Festival kicked off in Moscow where Indian army tri-services band performed at the inaugural day, Saturday. The Spasskaya Tower Festival is one of the capital's most spectacular events. On Sunday, the Muscovites watched bands and orchestras from all over the world.

The motto of the music festival is “Guns fall silent while orchestras are marching.” Different nations participate in the march. Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, the European Union, China, Uzbekistan, India, Egypt, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria participated in the events. In addition to that, a number of Russian orchestras also cast their charm. The festival will continue till 3rd September.

Red Square has a Children’s Town with seven different areas for various kinds of activities, from quests to master classes. They will welcome little folks every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and again from 6 to 8 p.m.

"I get a pipe band together every year for this festival. It's been 12 months of administrative work involved. We've got here pipers and drummers from all over Europe… All my people are really, really happy to be here and they are chuffed to play music for Russian people." EU's own Celtic Massed Pipes and Drums musical director, David Johnston said.
