Kolkata, August 28: West Bengal Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee has been interrogated by CBI for Narada case. After being summoned by CBI thrice, he finally appeared before CBI in Nizam Palace on Monday. Sarada and Narada financial scams hit TMC badly before 2016 Bidhansavha election. Many top level TMC leaders including Mayor of Kolkata Sovan Chatterjee were alleged of taking a bribe from a journalist. In the leaked footage it was clearly shown many TMC leaders are taking a bribe from Mathu Samuel.
Subrata Mukherjee, accompanied by his two lawyers, arrived about 1045 hours at Nizam Palace, the CBI headquarters in this region in the city, responding the CBI's summons. Right after ED investigation, he told reporters that he took Rs 3.5 lakh and not Rs 5 lakh as claimed by the Narada CEO.
