Better infrastructure will boost the tourism sector: PM Modi

Udaipur, Aug 29: Underlining the importance of infrastructure projects, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country like India can no longer afford a delay in infrastructure projects. He further added that improved connectivity between two regions will pave the way for bright future. Embarking on his first visit to Udaipur PM Modi inaugurated 11 highway and infrastructure projects.



Addressing a mammoth public meeting, Modi asserted that flagship program of golden quadrilateral under the leadership of former Prime Atal Bihari Vajpayee has benefited farmers with better access to markets. The Prime Minister optimistically said that better infrastructure and connectivity will boost the tourism sector in Rajasthan.

Commenting on the social scheme of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana Modi mentioned that with the availability of LPG connections, women from remote places are getting benefits from this scheme. Hailing the new regime of GST Modi stated that GST has hugely benefited the nation's economy. He also urged Rajasthan government to run a 15-day campaign to add micro and small businessmen to get connected with GST Processes.


On this occasion Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, MOS Arjun Ram Meghwal, and other officials were present.

After attending official function Prime Minister Modi visited the Pratap Gaurav Kendra which unfolds the chronicles of the life of legendary warrior Maharana Pratap, the great King of the erstwhile kingdom of Mewar.
