Haryana Chief Minister Khattar calls on Amit Shah, submits report on law and order

New Delhi, August 30: Refuting all the reports of his ouster, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the situation in Haryana is under control. Addressing media after the closed door meeting with BJP Supremo Amit Shah, Khattar informed that he has submitted all the reports regarding the issue of Ram Rahim and also briefed Shah about the law and order situation in the state of Haryana.

Backing the move of state government Khattar said, "We have taken necessary actions and followed the court's order. No one is above law”. He further added that the state government has taken all the measures to tone down the violence instigated by followers of Ram Rahim after his conviction. The Haryana Chief Minister assured that the state administration and security agencies are closely monitoring the situation. "We are still alert and are making sure that the law and order is maintained in the state," Khattar added.

Dera Sacha Chief Ram Rahim was convicted on charges of rape on August 25 by the Special CBI Court. He has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping two women in a 2002 case.
