Srinagar, August 5: Indian security troops are carrying a huge mission of eliminating terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir so that the law and order, anti national elements could not hurt the sovereignty of the country. Yet another success for Indian security forces as they eliminated three more terrorists of Lashkar-e-Toiba terror outfit on Saturday at Sopore, in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces after getting a specific input of the presence of three LeT terrorists at Sopore village in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir immediately launched the search operation and sealed the whole area. Terrorists opened fire at security forces after being trapped ensuing into a fierce encounter.
But security forces easily eliminated all the three terrorists and recovered arms and ammunitions including three AK-74 rifles from their possession. However, the bodies of slain terrorists are also recovered. A joint operation was conducted by 179 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 52 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to eliminate these three terrorists.
According to the official sources, all government and private schools and colleges in Sopore are closed today post encounter. The internet services have also been snapped in North Kashmir's Baramulla District. North Kashmir IGP Nitish Kumar informed that one police jawan has been injured in the encounter via twitter.
Earlier, just a day before Indian security troops gunned down two terrorists belonged to Hizbul terror outfit in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Interestingly, this comes days after LeT chief commander Abu Dujana of Pakistan along with his accomplice Arif were killed in an encounter with security forces at Hakripora village in Jammu and Kashmir`s Pulwama district. The civilian was also killed in protest that erupted following an encounter of Abu Dujana.
