Srinagar, August 8: In an ongoing anti-terrorist operation in the inner parts of Jammu-Kashmir and forward areas, Security forces eliminated three terrorists belonged to Hizbul terror outfit in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. However, the arms and ammunition along with the body of slain terrorists are recovered by security forces.
Security forces on Wednesday after noon gunned down three local terrorists of Hizbul terror outfit after a fierce encounter that broke out at Gulab Bagh village of Pulwama's Tral in Jammu and Kashmir. Arms and ammunition along with the body of slain terrorists are recovered by security forces and combing operation is still underway in nearby areas.
According to official sources, the search operation was launched following the specific information about the presence of an unspecified number of terrorists in Gulab Bagh village of Pulwama's Tral in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists opened fire when security forces were sealing the area. In the ensuing encounter, three terrorists of Hizbul outfit were killed.
The identity of the terrorists is yet to the ascertained. A joint operation was conducted by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), 52 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group (SOG) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to eliminate these three terrorists.
Interestingly, Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three over-ground workers (OGWs) belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit in Behrampora Tilgam are of Kashmir. The arrest comes just a day after the Indian army gunned down five Pakistani terrorists and foiled the major infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Machil sector of Kupwara district. While a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist from Pakistan was killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district on the same day.
