Bhubaneswar, September 11: The melody along with dancing lights were the highlight after the Chief Minister inaugurated the light and sound show at the world famous Sun Temple in Konark. The light show was the medium to propagate the rich history of the Black Pagoda and boost the tourism. The tourist will be able to enjoy the show in three different languages through customized headphones.
The light show was organised in collaboration with the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and the State Tourism Department. Earlier the State Government had signed an agreement for the project in 2014. The Tourism and Culture Department had released Rs 4.56 Crore to the ITDC for the project. The light and sound show will inform the tourists about the rich history of the Black Pagoda and will be presented in three languages.
Actor Sekhar Suman has done the voice over of the script in Hindi, Kabir Bedi has given his voice for the English script and Bijay Mohanty has done the voice over for the Odia one. Eight high definition projectors will be used for the light and sound show using laser technology, sources said.
