President Ram Nath Kovind visits Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam

Tirupati, Sep 2: President Ram Nath Kovind today visited the holy temple of Lord Venkateswar Swami along with his wife Savita and other family members. President Kovind was accorded a ceremonial traditional reception by TTD officials.

 

According to official web site of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, the president who was on a two-day maiden visit to Tirumala hills first offered prayers in Bhu Varaha Swamy temple located adjacent to Swami Pushkarini and later reached Tirumala temple.

He was welcomed by TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, Tirumala Joint Executive Officer KS Sreenivasa Raju, and A Ravikrishna while the Veda pundits offered Isthikaphal Swagatham to the first citizen of the country with temple honors.

After offering prayers to Lord Venkateswara executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal presented him a sacred silk cloth and holy prasadam. On this occasion, Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and other officials accompanied the president.
