Haryana govt to provide 7th pay commission benefits for National Health Mission contractual staffs

Chandigarh, September 24: Haryana government has decided to extend 7th Pay commission benefits to National Health Mission contractual staffs. Around 12500 contractual employees working under NHM are about to get a 14.5% hike. For the first time, the state will give 14.5% hike to NHM staffs.

Health Minister Anil Vij said that Chief Minister Manohar Lal had approved the proposal of 7th Pay Commission to give a hike of 14.29 percent to all contractual staff working under various departments, boards, and corporations.

“The employees of National Health Mission, Haryana are recruited on contractual basis on a fixed consolidated honorarium as approved by the Centre. As per the current guidelines under NHM, the contribution ratio of funds is 60:40 (GoI vs state),” Haryana’s Health Minister Anil Vij said.

The National Health Mission (NHM) encompasses its two Sub-Missions, the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and the newly launched National Urban Health Mission (NUHM). The main programmatic components include Health System Strengthening in rural and urban areas- Reproductive-Maternal- Neonatal-Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A), and Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases.
