IRCTC Hotel scam: Lalu Prasad Yadav seeks two weeks time to appear before CBI court

Patna, September 25: The ongoing investigation against Lalu Prasad Yadav can expose his influence in the IRTCT hotel scam. He was scheduled to appear before CBI court today. But his lawyer reached CBI office on Monday and sought two weeks time. Lalu Prasad Yadav’ son former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav is also scheduled to appear before CBI court tomorrow. This is related to the investigation of the IRTCT Hotel scam case.

As per local reports, Lalu's wife and former CM Rabri Devi were asked to appear before the investigating officer on September 26. Lalu Prasad was summoned for the second time. His lawyer submitted the request seeking two weeks time for questioning. The request is now under process.

Rabri Devi, ex-Chief Minister of Bihar said CBI and oppositions are bothering Lalu Prasad. BJP is targeting their family and maligning with the false case.

In July, CBI registered a case against Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi and son, others involved in the case. The case has been registered under Sections 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy). 12 locations linked to Lalu and his family members including in Patna, New Delhi, Ranchi, and Gurgaon had been raided by CBI.
