Commenting on the outstanding performance of the Baahubali franchise, Rajamouli asserted that the two-part magnum opus was appreciated by moviegoers because of its appealing content and emotional screenplay which ultimately touched the hearts of millions breaking linguistic and geographical barriers.
Clearing the dust about next version of Baahubali the director mentioned that we are not working on any stuff like Baahubali 3. He further added that Baahubali franchise would ensure the continuous engagement through the world of Baahubali. Elaborating on his future plans Rajamouli said that he is waiting for yet another heart touching story to work on. "If we have a story, we will be very happy to all get together again," he added.
When asked about India's official entry to the Oscars for the foreign language film category where Baahubali lost its plot against the Rajkumar Rao starrer Newton, unperturbed Rajamauli underlined that he is not bothered about any kind of awards but his ultimate aim is to enjoy the art of storytelling.
In his recent interaction with students of Manipal Institute of Technology, the Baahubali director opined that he considers himself a better storyteller than a film director. Averring his childhood days Rajamauli narrated that he was very fond of epic stories like Balaramayana, Amar Chitra Katha and other mythological tales like Mahabharata. The director said that he is so inspired by the character of Karna.
The Baahubali director along with Prabhas and Rana Daggubati attended the Pre-Telecast event of Sony MAX Baahubali: The Conclusion which will hit the small screens on October 8.
