Haryana targets to provide employment to 2 lakh youths in the state

Chandigarh, September 3: To reduce the rate of unemployment in the state, Haryana state government has set a target to provide employment to two lakh youth in the State under the ’Saksham Yojana’. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced this after a review meeting of the development works with officers in Karnal District.

The efforts are put into ensuring employment for every educated youth of the state. Under the Saksham Yojana, the youths are directed to be appointed in various departments where there is a shortage of employees. Along with government offices, the youth may get opportunities also in industrial units.

Haryana CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various development projects costing Rs 115 crore in different parts of the Karnal district. Under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), a sum of Rs 325.16 crore would be spent in Karnal.

Plans have been drawn to set up a trauma centre every 60 kilometres to provide instant medical facility to those sustaining injuries in road accidents on national highways, and work in this direction had already started.
