Patna, September 7: The IRCTC Scam which prompted the RJD-JD (U) split in Bihar seems to give Lalu Prasad Yadav a tough game in his political career. The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has summoned former RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son Tejashwi in the alleged IRCTC hotels scam.

Lalu Prasad has been told to appear on Monday, 11th September and his son Tejashwi on next day before the investigative team. The scam involved Lalu and his family’s alleged involvement for leasing out two railway-run hotels, BNR Puri and BNR Ranchi, to a private firm, Sujata Hotels.

In July, CBI registered a case against Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi and son, others involved in the case. The case has been registered under Sections 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy). 12 locations linked to Lalu and his family members including in Patna, New Delhi, Ranchi, and Gurgaon had been raided by CBI.

As usually, Lalu who is burdened with so many scams held BJP responsible for his own deeds. He said this is the aftermath of “the politics of vendetta being played by the BJP”.
