Super energetic Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati who kicked-off his first digital venture through Social believes that streaming platform provides new dimensions to the art of storytelling. Speaking on the official launch of Social the ace actor said, “Every story has a place where it deserves to be told. Not all stories are meant for the big screen.”
Sharing his personal experience about his new venture Rana said, “Working on this show has helped me understand the medium better.” He further added that this new age technology gives freedom to an individual without any restriction. When asked about the concept behind web series Rana elaborated that the series will touch upon the darker side of social media but it is not against social media, he clarified.

The first look poster and trailer have already created the buzz in social media and amassed more than one million digital hits. Apart from its story line, the main attraction is macho man Rana Daggubati, who is taking his first step in the world of web series after the successful roll out of his talk show No. 1 Yaari on Viu app.
Helmed by director Shashi Sudigala the project social also features Naveen Kasturia and Priya Banerjee in a pivotal role. The bilingual web series also have actors like Abdul Razzaq, Aradhana Uppal, Moin Khan and Preeti Asrani.
Social is a story about four diverse individuals who come together to solve the mystery of a missing girl. Canadian actress Priya Banerjee will be seen as an aspiring actress in thriller drama. According to makers of Social, the new age web series will comment on the impact of social media and its ramifications on consumers of new media technology.
