Dadra and Nagar Haveli is a Union Territory in western India. Nagar Haveli is wedged between Maharashtra and Gujarat, whereas Dadra is an enclave lying a few kilometres north of Nagar Haveli. The Butterfly garden is akin to a short natural trail for one expecting to sift through a wide variety of flowers and of course butterflies. There is view point, you will enjoy nature surroundings.

Butterfly Park is situated at Khanvel in the union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, India, near the Vanvihar, neatly lay out with many varieties of bushy flowering plants, ideal for thriving existence of many species of butterflies. Butterflies mostly feed on nectar (from which they get their energy) from flowers and hope from one flower to another. The have the adaptability to sip water from the dump or wet surfaces to keep them hydrated, which is very much required.


 

People visiting the Butterfly Park, normally expect to see many butterflies at any given time and often complain about not able to see any. As a matter of fact, normally one can watch the butterflies flying around, when the temperatures are above 25 deg.c, and when the temperature are cooler or cloudy, the Butterflies will be normally basking in the plant leaves or branches, positioning their wings in different orientation for warming up.

This Park is a definite place for a visit for families with children and to watch the different species of butterflies and the best time to watch them is during the day, when the temperature are high. The park is closed on Monday and is open on all other days from 9.00am to 5.00 pm.
