Mumbai, January 24: BJP chief Amit Shah lauded PM Modi for his superb speech at the World Economic Forum 2018 in Davos.

"PM Narendra Modi superbly invokes how Indian culture has always believed in uniting, not dividing. Our scriptures, written thousands of years ago, speak about 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'. We are all united by our shared destinies!" the BJP chief tweeted. PM Modi had addressed the plenary at the event.

Shah, who put out a series of tweets, said Modi has perfectly articulated India’s strengths and aspirations in the multi-conceptual world at Davos.

“India offers unique opportunities to the entire world. It offers wealth with wellness, health with wholeness of life, prosperity with peace… India welcomes one & all,” Shah tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a keynote address at the plenary session at the World Economic Forum on Tuesday afternoon. PM Modi said that Indian culture highlights care and protection of the environment. "Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi always endorsed utilisation based on need, and opposed greed," he added.

He said that Indians believe 'We the humans are children of Mother Earth'. "Climate change is a huge threat right now, Snow in the Arctic is melting, many islands are sinking or are about to sink," he added.
