‘Nagpur Peri Urban Water Supply’ scheme to benefit more than 3.5 Lakh people

Nagpur, January 29: Maharashtra set to get another flyover at the cost of Rs.130 Crores connecting Ujjwal Nagar to Manish Nagar with railway overbridge in Nagpur as Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis laid the foundation stone for the construction of same. Also Nagpur Peri-Urban water supply scheme was inaugurated for 10 villages under National Rural Drinking Water Program. The scheme costs around Rs.232.75 Crores which seeks to benefit at least 3.5 lakh people. The new Beltarodi police station was also inaugurated digitally.


Ahead CM Fadnavis along with Minister Nitin Gadkari attended the Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav event where they presented awards to Swachh Schools and also to the winners of an essay competition on the topic ‘What all can I do for Swachh Bharat’.

CM Fadnavis expressed happiness over the completion of water supply scheme in just 2yrs and also congratulated entire team working for Manish Nagar ROB, for which he had been struggling for years. He said we are working to make Nagpur Airport world class with cargo hub facilities. Further CM Fadnavis also announced that state government has approved a plan of Rs. 750 Crores for Maharashtra Law University at Nagpur and initially, in the first phase, work of Rs. 200 Crores to begin soon.

Wrapping up Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav witnessed the power packed performances of Actress Hema Malini along with other artists.
