Railway announces 5 summer special trains connecting Jharkhand; aims to clear the rush of passengers

Ranchi, January 29: To handle the vacation rush South Eastern Railway (SER) announced five summer trains that will connect various stations in Jharkhand in an attempt to clear the rush of passengers in the coming months. the booking for these trains will start from next week.

According to the headquarters of SER at Garden Reach, Calcutta, the new trains are Shalimar-Jaipur Weekly Special Express (via Tatanagar), Santragachi-Pune Weekly Special Express (via Tatanagar), Tatanagar-Kacheguda Weekly Special, Howrah-Ranchi Tri-Weekly Special and Hatia-Pune-Weekly Special.

The Shalimar-Jaipur Special (08061) that will run from April 2 to June 27 will leave Shalimar on Mondays at 8.20 pm. It will reach Jaipur at 06.35pm on Wednesday.

On its return journey, the train (08062) will leave Jaipur on Wednesdays at 12:45 pm and arrive at Shalimar at 11.20pm, the next day. The special train will have four AC-2 tier, five AC- 3 tier and four sleeper class coaches.

The Santragachi-Pune AC Superfast Special (02822), that will run between April 7 and July 2, will leave Santragachi on Saturdays at 6.30pm and reach Pune at 02.45am on Monday. The return train (02821) will leave Pune on Mondays at 10.30am and reach Santragachi at 6.15pm on Tuesday. It will have eight AC 3 tier and three AC 2 tier coaches.

Tatanagar-Kacheguda Special (07439), that will run from February 5 to June 26, will leave Tatanagar on Tuesdays at 10.50pm and reach Kacheguda (Hyderabad) at 05.00am on Thursday. On its return journey, the train (07438) will leave Kacheguda on Mondays at 1 pm and arrive at Tatanagar at 7.45pm the next day. The special train will have one AC 2 tier, two AC 3 tier, seven sleeper class and six general second class coaches.

The Howrah-Ranchi Special (08627), to run from April 1 to June 26, will leave Howrah on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays at 12.50pm and reach Ranchi at 10.10pm the same day. In its return journey, the train (08628) will leave Ranchi on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays at 05.45 pm and arrive at Howrah at 3.15 pm the same day. The train will have two AC chair car and 10 general chair car coaches.

The Hatia-Pune Superfast Special (02846), to run from April 4 to June 29, will leave Hatia on Wednesdays at 9 pm and reach Pune at 02.45pm on Friday. The return train (02845) will leave Pune on Fridays at 10.45am and arrive at Hatia at 6.20pm on Saturday. The train will have one AC 2 tier, four AC 3 tier, six sleeper class and four general second class coaches.
