Lucknow, January 31: As a tribute to the martyrs of India, a ray of hope and contentment has been seen among the dependants of martyred jawans of armed forces and central para military forces as the State Government has announced to provide them with employment on compassionate ground on the basis that they should be a domicile in Uttar Pradesh.
The decision was taken at the cabinet meeting headed by the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Under this scheme the job will be given to one family member of an army man or para military soldier getting martyred in battlefield under a laid down criteria that would include age limit ranging from 18 to 58 years.
Discussing the decision taken by the Government State Cabinet Minister Shrikant Sharma said, "It has been decided that dependants of jawans of armed forces and central para military forces who attain martyrdom while discharging their duties, will be given jobs on compassionate ground. This will be a tribute to the martyrs from the state government".
The minister said the government also gave its approval to install e-pass machines at 80,000 fair price shops in the state. It has been decided that by June, all fair price shops in the state will be linked with this facility, thus putting a break on ration pilferage.
