Rohtak, October 9: “Chaudhary Chhotu Ram was a prominent leader of the Haryana who worked for the empowerment of farmers, labourers and downtrodden,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiling the statue of Chaudhary Chhotu Ram in Rohtak, Haryana. Apart from that the Prime Minister also laid foundation of a Rail Coach Factory in Sonipat.
Addressing the public rally in Rohtak, PM Modi said that he was very fortunate to have an opportunity to unveil such a grand and huge statue of 'the voice of the farmers, the messengers of Jats, Rahber-e-Azam, Dinabandhu Chaudhary Chhoturam ji'. PM Modi said that Sir Chhotu Ram Ji played a very significant role in forming the independent India for his illustrious and strong voice for the farmers.
On laying the foundation for Rail Coach Factory, PM Modi said This Rail Coach Factory will not only help the people, but also increase the growth of Haryana. The Rail Coach will be vital for the small entrepreneurs in their businesses in Haryana. This will also scale up new opportunities for employment to the youth.
Speaking about the recent farmer agitation, PM Modi said that the government is committed to the welfare of the farmers and constantly working for creating a world class market for them. Recalling the efforts taken by farmer’s leader Chhotu Ram Ji, PM Modi said that the generations were deprived imbibing his teachings. Chaudhary Chhotu Ram ji had created the Agricultural Product Market Act to assure farmers the fair value of the Crop. Similarly, the central government has also started the PM-aasha. Under this, the government has managed to compensate the state government if the farmer is looking at a low price market with a support price.
PM Modi also congratulated the state of Haryana for being the first to entail the benefits of Ayushmaan Bharat. PM Modi also lauded the efforts taken by the government in shaping this medical facility that has amounted 50 thousand beneficiaries in two weeks.
