Amaravati, Nov 16: Andhra Pradesh Government led by Nara Chandra Babu Naidu has decided to block the entry of India’s apex investigative agency CBI. The TDP government has withdrawn the ‘General Consent’ given to the members of Delhi Special Police Establishment to exercise powers and jurisdiction in the coastal state.

After this move, the Central Bureau of Investigation will not be able to move without the permission of the state government. The top agency will not be able to carry out search and operations without the knowledge of the state government.

As quoted by ANI, TDP leader Lanka Dinakar accused BJP led Central government of destroying institution against the political opponents. He claimed that the apex agency is working on the behest of BJP in order to settle the political score ahead of the general election.

Responding to the move, principal opposition party YSR Congress dubbed Naidu as a confused and scared leader who is not ready to face the probe in Jagan Mohan Reddy's attack case.

Recently, a delegation of YSR Congress party called on President Ram Nath Kovind and demanded a centrally monitored investigation. On several occasions, Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu slammed BJP over the CBI officer controversy and blamed center for destroying constitutional institutions.
