Addressing the gathering of party workers at Telangana Bhavan here, KTR thanked Chief Minister and his father K Chandrashekar Rao for the newly assigned task ahead of the crucial 2019 polls.
The former IT Minister also thanked people for keeping trust on the leadership of K Chandrashekar Rao. He assured that Telangana Rashtra Samithi will continue to serve the people of Telangana.
Referring to the resounding victory of the Pink army, Rao said that he would strive hard to make Telangana Rashtra Samithi invincible. On this occasion, former Ministers T Harish Rao, T Nageswara Rao, and other TRS leader were present.
Days after the assuming the office of the Chief Minter, Telangana Rashtra Samithi head K Chandrashekhar Rao appointed his son Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao for the post of Working President.
A three-time lawmaker from Sircilla Assembly segment, KTR held key portfolios of IT, Industries and Commerce, Urban development and NRI Affairs. In recently held assembly elections, the Young TRS leader defeated Mahender Reddy of Congress with a margin of 89,000 votes.
A student of Management studies, KTR plunged into politics amidst the state-wide separate Telangana launched by his father K Chandrashekhar Rao.
In 2009 for the first time, KTR kick-started political innings by winning Sircilla Assembly constituency. In 2014 after retaining Sircilla, he was inducted into the cabinet of K Chandrashekhar Rao.
