Giving wings to housing and development projects, PM Modi inaugurates Metro line corridor in Thane

Kalyan, December 18: Giving wings to young dreams, fulfilling promises of making a name, the city of dreams, Mumbai has accomplished everything and everyone. The city of Mumbai and Thane has helped in releasing the dreams of the country, the people residing here collaborate so friendly that it has united everyone in a tight niche.

Enabling dreams of many, the city Mumbai has been expanding and developing on a large extend. Transportation being an important concept for ease of travelling, the city has embraced infrastructure development showcasing large improvement in transport. Laying foundation stone of two major metro lines, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Metro and the Dahisar-Mira-Bhayander Metro in Thane district. 

Considered as the economic center of India, Mumbai has been developing and transforming incredibly. The Mumbai city has allocated numerous locals, the bridges have also been revamped and upgraded. Apart from the Mumbai locals, the medium of local transportation has expanded its reach to metro lines as well. Snapping the congress party, PM Modi said that the metro line was introduced in the year 2006, but until 8 years nothing productive happened. The first line could start at 2014, even just 11 kms in 8 years.


In the last four years, various new projects have come up introducing Metro lane in Mumbai. In the coming years there will be 35 kilometer capacity added. By 2022 to 2024 the metro line will be made available.

Moving towards enabling housing facility to the people, PM Modi said that by 2022, when the country will celebrate its 75 years of independence, everyone in the country will have a house for themselves. Keeping this goal, the central government has decided on building 90 thousand more new homes accomplishing the aim in coming three years.


Under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana, the Prime Minister said that our government has credited Rs. 2.50 lakh in the bank directly, i.e. the loan amount is directly reduced to Rs. 2.50 lakh. The lower and middle classes are also being helped in the home loans. Adding to this, the interest rate on home loans have also been reduced considerably. The interest subsidy is also being given by the Government under the scheme for the lower income bracket group. Middle income group people are also given a interest subsidy of 3 to 4%.
