Addressing the gathering here, Naidu said that with 48 radial gates, Polavaram will pave the way for drought-free Andhra Pradesh.
Expressing happiness over the progress of the multipurpose project, Babu claimed that 63 percent of work has been completed and the state government will meet the deadline of May 2019.
Responding to Odisha’s move against Polavaram, Naidu requested Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik not to stall the ambitious venture. He said that the state government is ready to discuss any issue.
Underlining the benefits of Polavaram, Chandra Babu informed that Odisha will get 5 tmc water from backwaters of Polavaram. He assured that issues like submergence, rehabilitation and resettlement and other can be resolved through mutual discussion.
