Karnal, December 26: Eyeing for enabling all available facilities and ensuring good governance through the medium of e-governance, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Tuesday launched 485 schemes and services of 37 departments under the 'Digital Haryana' initiative.
Addressing a ‘Good Governance’ programme on the 94th birth anniversary of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Haryana Chief Minister inaugurated 22 'Antyodya Saral Kendras' for all district headquarters from Karnal.The aim of this project is to ensure that the citizen service delivery becomes effective, easy and corruption-free so that the citizen does not have to depend upon agents and middlemen to get benefits.
With this, Haryana has become the first state in the country, where 4,000 Atal Seva Kendras in rural areas, 22 at district headquarters, 51 at sub-divisional level and 20 Antyodya Saral Kendras at Tehsil level, have been launched simultaneously at such a large scale.The Chief Minister said that through the medium of e-governance, the people of the state will be given good governance.
The Antyodya Saral Kendras covers all schemes availed for the weaker section and targeted groups ensuring all Antyodya services. Along with this the Antyodaya Helpline number 1800-2000-023 was launched and the Chief Minister also enquired about requirement of documents for Ration Card. The everyday services being given at Saral Kendras would be monitored at Headquarters in Chandigarh.
Through Video conferencing, the Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to ensure that there is adequate space available for Saral Kendras and all the schemes and services are displayed on the board for the convenience of the public. The state also is looking forward to launch the SARAL App so that people could get all information about schemes on their smart phones at home.
