PM Modi during his earlier rallies had mentioned about the chopper scam case and how the Congress thought they got away with it. Back then PM Modi promised to unveil the true faces of the Congress by putting the culprits behind the bar. He said, “I had mentioned the VVIP helicopter case, I spoke about it, about the letter written by Sonia Gandhi. After BJP came to power, we looked for the files, we dug around. They had hidden it away. But one middleman finally was caught after years of digging and findings. The VVIP chopper case accused will spill secrets of politicians he served.”
Also, PM Modi slammed Sonia Gandhi for her undergoing a series of scams during her party regime. With Supreme Court taking decision on reopening the IT tax on National Herald case, PM Modi made a sly comment saying how long will you save the culprits? During their time, they had closed all the files related to the case. People involved in the scam where out on bail. Making revelations, Karti Chidambaram was sent to jail and now they are begging the the court to delay his arrest. How long can he keep doing that?
However, during the rally, PM Modi accredited the efforts of the people believing in them and addressed the victory of the government to the people. He said, “It is not Modi who did all this, by bringing the scams under scrutiny and putting the convicts in jail. It is you, the people who have done this, by saying no to corruption.”
