Raipur, February 1: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh today hailed the Union Government Budget for the fiscal year 2018-2019 stating that it will give an impetus to ' 'Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikaas''.
Singh congratulated the PM Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for presenting such an admirable Budget on the floor of Parliament today. In his immediate reaction to the Union Budget Singh said that Budget consisted of several welfare schemes which will ultimately benefit Chhattisgarh.
The Budget mentions Minimum Support Price (MSP) 1.5 times of the cost of notified crops which is historic which will benefit Chhattisgarh farmers. An amount of Rs Two thousand crore had been allocated to develop Kisan Bazaars and Rs 11 lakh crore was allocated to Farm loans.
He said that Union Finance Minister had laid stress on the agriculture sector. Chief Minister welcomed the provision of Rs 5 lakh per year per family and Rs 500 to patients with Tuberculosis under the Ayushman Bharat Health scheme and termed them as historic and far-reaching.
“The Budget allocates Rs 56 thousand crore to the SC Welfare Fund. The Ekalavya Schools will be upgraded on the pattern of Navodaya Schools. The announcements will certainly help Chhattisgarh. There is a ray of hope for the unemployed youth as the Budget announced creation of an additional 70 lakh jobs in this fiscal,” Minister added.
