Raipur, February 1: In a world full of pollution, we forget the harmless ride, bicycles. But supporting the fight for better environment as well as promoting cycle tourism Seventy eight cyclists from India and abroad pedaled along scenic routes passing through the “red zone” of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district.
Whereas during trips, tourists make the tourists spots dirty, these young beautiful souls cared for environment. The cacophony of vehicle sounds did not disturb the Mother Nature , did not harm environment but a group of enthusiasts explored the beautiful greenery of Chhattisgarh.
Along with preserving nature, this is also a fight against poor lifestyle, inactive youth. Through this expedition, the young people choose to stay fit which might inspire others too.
After first day of the event the cyclers were exposed to the rich cultural performances of #Chhattisgarhi folk group along with bonfires at the green lawns of Hiuen Tsiang Tourist Resort, Sirpur. Enthusiasts from abroad and various corners of India gathered in the event. Alexi Singh Grewal , the American Olympic gold medalist and former professional road racing cyclistalso took part in the event.
Those who have missed the chance but now eagerly wants to join the tour, Chhattisgarh tourism board is with them. They will be back with such with another cycling expedition "#WildRide" from 10th to 11th Feb 2018.
