Appealing youths of Karnataka, Amit Shah pledges to work towards a Congress-Mukt India

Bengaluru, February 20: After rallying for Northeast states, Bhartiya Janata Party Chief Amit Shah in on Karnataka tour to rally ahead of Assembly Elections. Amit Shah stressed saying that not only BJP wants a change, but also people of Karnataka want to change that are fed up with a corrupt government. Amit Shah attacked Siddaramaiah’s government saying “In Mangaluru if there is a competition on which is the most corrupt state in the country, Siddaramaiah's government will win it hands down. This is the most corrupt state government in India." 

Kicking off his 3-day Karnataka coastal tour from the temple town dedicated the serpent God after having the darshan, Amit Shah was addressing Navashakti Sammelan; nine workers from each of the 229 booths of Sullia Assembly constituency, at Kulkunda near Kukke Subrahmanya. 

 

Addressing the rally Amit Shah said that while the BJP is solely concentrating on the development agenda, the Congress, he alleged, is indulging in politics of appeasement thereby bringing development to a standstill. Expressing confidence over winning elections, BJP Chief Amit Shah said that we are going to win Tripura shortly and then win Karnataka in just a few months. we should work towards a Congress-Mukt India.

 

Empowering youth, Amit Shah mentioned that only the youth of this country can build a "New India". The youth of Karnataka needs to come forward to prevent forming a government that believes in vote bank and politics of appeasement. I appeal youth of Karnataka to form a corruption-free government that gives pace to development, Amit Shah appealed to the youngsters.

Further Amit Shah spoke on the efforts taken by the government to bring out the change in the administration and economy of the nation.

There is nothing wrong in seeking accounts from the government and BJP is always accountable to people, Amit Shah added. While the UPA government during the 13th Finance Commission had released Rs.88,583 Crores to Karnataka, the NDA government under the 14th Finance Commission has so far released Rs.2,19,506 Crores to Karnataka. Besides, the centre has also released over Rs.80,000 Crores to Karnataka under different heads, including roads, AMRUT, Swasth Bharath, bus procurement, Bengaluru Metro, Railways etc.

Everyone is entitled to know what has happened to the grants; Amit Shah questioned. Corruption has been ruling the roost in Karnataka with Congress MLAs and the Chief Minister facing corruption allegations, he added.
