Ranchi, February 23: The Jharkhand Police on Thursday raided a training center of Popular Front of India (PFI) in Pakur district of the state. The police also seized party’s banners, stamps, and other documents.
The move came after the Jharkhand Government banned the organization for allegedly spreading anarchy in the state. Jharkhand has banned PFI under Section 16 of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1908 for spreading anarchy in the state. The police sealed the center and recovered PFI flags, computers, CDs, Aadhar cards among other items from the spot.
The action was taken after the law department gave its consent on the proposal of the Home Department and police.
The state government has banned the Popular Front of India (PFI) organization sponsored by the ISIS to be Popular Front of India (PFI). In the proposal of the Home Department to ban the organization, it has been said that members of the PFI are internally influenced by the Islamic states. Many PFI members have gone to Syria secretly. There he is working for the ISIS. This organization was witnessing considerable influence in the two districts of Jharkhand, Pakurd, and Sahebganj.
According to local media a government statement released on Tuesday “The state has banned the Popular Front of India, which is active in Jharkhand, under the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1908. The Home Department had recommended the ban.”
