Patna, February 26: The Bihar Legislature's budget session will begin today. The budget session will commence with the address of Governor Satyapal Malik to the joint sitting of Bihar Legislative Assembly and Bihar Legislative Council and on Tuesday, in the House, a supplementary demand grant for the state's General Budget and 2017-18 for 2018-19 will be presented.
The budget session of both houses of Bihar legislature will begin today. The session will continue till the 4th of April and there will be 24 seatings. After the address of the Governor, the Economic survey will be presented in the house. The budget for 2018-19 and third supplementary demand grant for the current financial year will be presented tomorrow.
Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Executive Councilor of the Legislative Council Haroon Rashid have said that all necessary preparations for the conduct of the House have been completed. They have also sought cooperation from the members of the Legislature’s administration. Especially, they expect positive cooperation from opposition members.
Due to the Holi holiday in the budget session, there will be no meeting of the House on March 2, 3 and 4. There will also be a debate on the demand for grants-in-aid of 2018-19 in the House during the budget session.
