Schools in Jammu and Kashmir inherit solar panel facilities

Jammu, February 8: As the country is set to inherit solar system in all almost each and every sector. Making green vehicles, public transportation and even railways, use of solar comprises each and every available section. Complete support is been given to enhance the education system of the country which will ultimately bring out bright students of India.


 

Making utmost use of green movement another part of India to be included in this scenario is the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has agreed to provide solar power facilities through solar panels to 472 schools in Jammu & Kashmir state. Besides, the computer laboratories will also be upgraded in the different government schools.

The decision was taken in mutual consent of union secretary, school education and literacy, Anil Swarup with secretary education J&K Farooq Ahmad Shah.

Secretary Education Jammu and Kashmir Farook Shah also said, "The union secretary MHRD assured the assistance for the upgradation of basic infrastructure in education sector of J&K state including DIET (District Institute of Educational and Training) Srinagar, and different projects and schemes under RMSA and SSA are also being implemented in J&K under the guidelines of MHRD.”

MHRD had convened a meeting to review the ongoing projects of education department to be introduced in schools. The meeting was attended by State Project Director (SPD) RMSA Tufail Matoo, SPD SSA Abdul Rashid War and Central and state level officers.
