New Delhi, March 17: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has launched an app 'Lost and Found' for travellers to recover their luggage or other items they lost or forgot at an airport. One can register on the app after downloading it from the IT Ministry website.

A CISF spokesperson, Hemendra Singh said that users can directly lodge a complaint on the app and track its status. Users can also use the app to seek technical consultancy provided by the force.

“In the web version of this application, it did not consist the facility to raise a complaint or request by user but instead had to wait for Airports to upload the items found at their respective Airports on this Web Application.”

Till 2015, the CISF was running a Lost and Found web application on its official website, to assist passengers who left behind their valuables at the airport. While the website received great applause, the agency came up with the idea to create an application which will also add features like tracking facility.

The EDP Cell of CISF in collaboration with UMANG team of National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has developed a Mobile Application of Lost and Found as well as Technical Consultancy.

The main advantage of this mobile version is that passenger can directly register complaints etc and get status of the complaint immediately. In this application user can also request for technical consultancy.
