Mumbai, March 6: Mumbai girls woke up to the courageous demonstration of “Mission Sahasi” today. In an endeavour to embolden, empower and equip women to fight harassment, an initiative named Mission Sahasi has been started by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). ‘Mission Sahasi’ also aims to campaign in order to connect ‘half of the population’.
Today Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the mega demonstration of Mission Sahasi and was amazed to see the zeal that was portrayed by the girls. CM Fadnavis said that amazed to see the demonstrations on self-esteem, self-protection & survival skills which our young sisters learnt at self-defence training #MissionSAHASI by AkhilBhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad(ABVP)&Vidyarthi Nidhi, this morning with @SunilAmbekarM ji, @AshishSainram ji @TandonRaveena.
Also Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with Superstar Raveena Tandon will grace the mission to empower the women.
This initiative aims to empower the ‘fight’ within the ‘woman’ to protect herself. Today women are leading in every sector whether in sports or aeronautics, every field has lady-prints! India is heading ahead as women are making their moves.
In the meantime CM Fadnavis who was amazed by the enthusiasm in the 1st phase he said Commendable efforts & results! #MissionSAHASI is @ABVPVoice’s initiative for women empowerment. Such trainings are the need of the hour. It is my earnest request to take #MissionSAHASI all over Maharashtra and Government will extend its complete support.
