HRD Minister urges public for suggestions to rationalize syllabus of children

New Delhi, March 6: Ensuring all round development of the students and the encourage them to learn new activities the Ministry of Human Resource and Development has hailed suggestions from masses to justify the curriculum of Class 1 to 12 . The department has appealed that the suggestions to be given till April 6.

Rationalizing school curriculum/syllabus or subject contents for classes I to class XII would however help the students to lower their burden. The main objective of taking the suggestions is to make the content more balanced and attract various activities as prescribed by the NCERT and CBSE.

Minister of Human Resource and Development, Prakash Javadekar therefore appealed the public to give their suggestions over rationalizing and justifying the syllabus for the children. Also there is an urgent need to vindicate the school curriculum because the objective of the education is to prepare a good human. The suggestions can be submitted till 6th of next month. It may be submitted online in the prescribed format.

The Minister further urged the inclusion of other activities such as personality development skills, life skills, experimental learning, physical education and creative learning should also be imbibed in the students.

Mr Javadekar also urged all stakeholders including teachers, educationalists, parents, students to send their suggestions on the issue.
