CRPF Jawan martyred in Maoist encounter in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, April 21: Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Anil Kumar Maurya, CRPF Jawan martyred during an encounter between Maoists and security forces in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, today.

The encounter broke after troops of 212 Battalion of CRPF, 208 COBRA, and the Chhattisgarh Police were carrying out a search and cordon operation near Kistaram camp.

 

CRPF has tweeted about the incident saluting the bravery of ASI Maurya, “ASI Anil Kumar Maurya of #212Bn sacrificed his life-fighting Maoists in Kistaram, Sukma. We salute the supreme sacrifice of the gallant hero who denied entry of Maoists in the path of development of the region at cost of his own life.”

Martyr Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Anil Kumar Maurya, was a native of Uttar Pradesh.

Recently we saw on March 13, nine CRPF soldiers were killed and 6 others were injured during a Maoist attack in the same region.

Sukma is considered as one of the worst Maoists affected areas. Many times the region has seen attacks which have put stains of Martyr’s blood on its land.
