Kalaburagi, May 3: Kicking off his Karnataka election campaign trail with lots of zeal, Priem Minister Narendra Modi hit Kalaburagi today to continue rallying. Welcomed by heaps of enthusiasm, PM Modi expressed gratefulness saying “the enthusiasm in Kalaburagi shows- the people of Karnataka will even bear the May heat but they can no longer stand the Congress government. There is anger against the Karnataka government and it is visible all over.”
Concerned over the people of Karnataka, PM Modi expressed his concerns saying “the view in Karnataka is clear- we have seen the state being ruined for five years and we will no longer allow the state to be ruined further. People are seeing that in all corners of India the Congress is being rejected.”
Expressing the significance of upcoming heating elections, PM Modi said that this election is going to decide the future of Karnataka. It is about the safety of women, the wellbeing of farmers. Do not assume this is only about electing MLAs, it is way beyond that.
Recalling the Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, PM Modi said Who can forget the role of Iron Man Sardar Patel who forced the Nizam of Hyderabad and ensured this land is a part of India? What the Nizam of Hyderabad did can compare with the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. I applaud the team of people who worked on a memorial for martyrs. This was something the Congress could have done but they dislike anything to do with Sardar Patel.
Hitting out at Congress, PM Modi stressed that Congress has no respect for the sacrifices of our soldiers. When our soldiers did surgical strikes, the shameless Congress party questioned the strikes. All they kept asking - Modi Ji show us proof. Congress would rather prefer our soldiers go with cameras and not guns! But then, this is expected considering how their own senior leader behaved on stage when 'Vande Mataram' was being sung, he added. Karnataka is synonymous with valour. But, how did the Congress treat Field Marshall Cariappa and General Thimayya? PM Modi questioned.
This area of Kalaburagi is known for 'Dal' cultivation. Our farmers are working hard here and availing of the benefits of the Central Government schemes. However, the Karnataka government is insensitive towards the condition of farmers, PM Modi lauded the efforts taken by B S Yeddyurppa, saying In @BSYBJP we have a leader who is devoted to the welfare of farmers. For him, farmer welfare is a top priority. It is our Government that has made important decisions of MSP. The Congress only ensured that the Swaminathan Committee report was not used. We are devoting all our energy towards farmer welfare. The Government of India is devoting significant resources towards improving the irrigation network. Congress is least bothered about the farmers, said PM Modi.
We have taken numerous steps to further the welfare of the Dalit and Tribal communities, PM Modi added. Assuring the good change, PM Modi said that when the BJP is elected the Lotus blooms and people prosper but when the Congress wins only a few families shine. By the way, does anybody know about the assets of Kharge Ji's family?
