MNM Chief Kamal Haasan hails Karnataka government for releasing water from Kabini dam

Bengaluru, June 16: Makkal Needhi Maiam Chief Kamal Haasan on Friday thanked Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for releasing water from the Kabini dam. The actor took to twitter hailed the positive gesture of a neighboring state. Mentioning about the Cauvery water management Authority, the actor turned politician asserted that only goodwill between the two States will resolve the contentious issues between the neighboring state.
Yesterday Karnataka government had released 20,000 cusecs from the Kabini dam to Tamil Nadu. Speaking to the media, Kumaraswamy hoped that good monsoon would pave the way for smooth implementation of Cauvery verdict. On June 4, the maverick actor had called on Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy Minister on the issues of Cauvery. The veteran actor also attended the swearing-in ceremony of Kumaraswamy.
