At least 1.61 lakh youth gained employment through a unique portal of Punjab

Chandigarh, June 16: The unique portal of Punjab government www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov. have proved to be very productive and so far 1.61 lakh youths have gained employment. This was said by Punjab Commerce Minister Sunder Sham Arora on Friday.
 

Minister Arora stated that more than one lakh unemployed youths have been registered themselves on this portal, whereas 2198 industrial companies have registered so far. He also said that under the 'Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Mission' till now more than 1.61 lakh youths have been provided gainful employment.

Divulging further, Minister Arora said that the state government is committed to provide employment to every skilled and unskilled unemployed youth under the 'Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Mission', an ambitious project of the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

“Working in this direction, the state government has started new portal www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in from February 2018. After registering themselves on this portal, the unemployed youth could find jobs in different industries and companies of their choice,” he added.

Highlighting other features of this new portal, the minister said that simultaneously, owners of corporate houses can also select candidates according to their need after registered themselves on this portal. He said that this portal is very easy to operate and all the services offered there are free.

Industry Minister said that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab government’s aim to provide a single platform for the job seekers as well as industrialists and companies, has been borne fruit as through this portal both the parties could search according to their needs.
