Vikram Dogra, first General to successfully conquer the toughest competition "Ironman"; Indian Army hoists flag of victory in Austria

Vienna, July 3: Major General Vikram Dogra of the Indian Army has completed one of the world's hardest competitions. After completing this competition, he has also registered his name in the record book. He is the first officer of the world in the rank of Major General who has completed this competition. Ironman is a triathlon that is organized every year on behalf of World Triathlon Corporation (WTC).


 

Major General Vikram Dogra completed this competition in Austria on July 1, in 14 hours and 21 minutes. He proved it in this competition by continuously swimming for 3.8 km, cycling for 180 km and running for 42.2 kilometers. The maximum time to complete the competition is 17 hours.

As he won this competition, the whole social media was flooded with wishes for congratulating him. Vikram Dogra passes through the 52nd course of the National Defense Academy and with this competition, he has conveyed the Indian Army to a new height.

Indian army has posted a tweet on their account applauding the work done by Dogra giving Army a new identity and sense of proud.

 

“He is the only serving army officer from the Indian Army to have done a full Ironman and the only General across the globe to have done so," Army spokesperson Col. Aman Anand said.
