Srinagar, August 14: Giving a ‘Tit For Tat’ reply to Pakistan’s dirty game of violating ceasefire, the Indian Army on Monday late night gunned down two personnel of neighbour’s security forces and foiled infiltration bid in Tangdhar area of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

 

Notably, Pakistani security forces personnel were trying to infiltrate in the Indian side along the Loc in Tangdhar area of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir with violating cease fire. But Indian Army gave the stringent answer to Pakistani forces with fierce retaliation and eliminated two troopers of coward neighbour.

A Defence spokesperson said, “Indian Army gunned down two Pakistani soldiers last night in a retaliatory action to unprovoked ceasefire violations and repeated attempts to facilitate infiltration by Pakistan Army in Tangdhar Sector.” "Our troops carried out calibrated operations last night in which two Pakistani soldiers were killed," he added.

Earlier in the day, Indian Army soldier Pushpendra Singh was martyred during the infiltration bid. While on Saturday, a CRPF personnel was injured after terrorists lobbed grenade in Kulgam's Laroo. On July 12, two Jawans were killed in sniper fire by the Pakistani Army in Keran sector of north Kashmir.

The government in July said 55 civilians and security personnel have been killed in alleged ceasefire violations along the LoC and in firing across the international border with Pakistan so far in 2018. Pakistani security forces violated the ceasefire across the international border at least 1,432 times till July 23 this year.
